When you keep these drugs in your house there is a bigger chance they will get into the wrong hands like a child.

If you throw these prescriptions into the trash there is a good chance that someone can get them for themselves or sell them to somebody. If you think flushing them down the toilet is a great idea, think again. Those drugs can easily get into our water systems and contaminate our water supply.

On Saturday from  9 AM to 11 AM the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department will hold their annual National DEA Drug TakeBack event at Texarkana Emergency Center, located at 4646 Cowhorn Creek. If you can't make the event you can also a Drug Takeback box located behind the Bi-State Justice Center.

What Drugs Are Not Accepted at National Drug Take Back Day?

You can not submit illicit drugs. They will not accept marijuana or methamphetamines. Needles will also not be accepted at this event.
