Exciting things happening at the Texarkana Regional Airport this Saturday, June 12, as officials will be breaking ground on a new airport passenger terminal to be built.

Like I said in the article yesterday, this is "the plane that started my love for aviation." I do mean that literally, this is THE plane that I flew in 30 years ago next month at the Wings Over Houston Press Show in 1986. The Press Show is the mini show they put on for members of the press several days before the public show.

The plane that started my love for aviation is here in Texarkana and I'm going to go see her in just a little while at the TAC Air Terminal at Texarkana Regional Airport.

My favorite war plane is the A-10 Warthog. It is still in service and saving the lives of our fighting men and women... for terrorists, not so much.

The pilot of a small plane between Colorado and California was having trouble breathing and was unable to talk. His wife took over the controls and, with the help of another pilot, was able to put the plain in autopilot and guide it to a nearby airport.
