Texans in the state are very excited to take to the water this summer to cool off. However, some may be rethinking that decision with new date released.

I can see it now, "Mom, look at the pretty blue button, it's kinda fuzzy!" Suddenly your child, your precious baby, is screaming from the pain, and a fun day at the beach just became an Emergency Room nightmare. Don't touch the blue button and don't let your kids touch it either.

So, question: What feeds on Portuguese Man-O-Wars, is only about an inch long, very pretty, and can set fire to you with their sting? Answer: A little sea slug called a Blue Sea Dragon or Glaucus atlanticus, and they're hitting Texas beaches right now.

I know a bunch of people around the Ark-La-Tex who make the trek down to the gulf coast every summer for vacation, they just love the beach. Question; is your beach in Mississippi? Was it closed last week?

With summer fast approaching and the Memorial holiday right around the corner, many of you will be hitting the lakes. Did you know you don't have to travel to some tropical beach far away to enjoy some white sand and clear blue water?
