The Nacogdoches Railroad Depot is one of the many stops along the Ghosts of Nacogdoches Historic Trail. The trail is maintained by the Boy Scouts of America, East Texas Area Council and open to anyone who likes to hike, and a hike it is.

This week my son Tyler reached the pinnacle of Boy Scouting, the rank of Eagle Scout. My wife and I are very proud as you can imagine.

Troop 3 had some hiking to do this past weekend to finish up some merit badges going into their Court of Honor next week. They did great as always.

It has been several years since an emergency service project has been attempted in the Boy Scouts of America Caddo Area Council, but this past weekend turned out to be almost perfect for a mock tornado to touch down at Camp Preston Hunt, with approximately 85 Scouts ranging in ages from 11-17 taking part in this emergency disaster drill...
