It's April 9, 2024, the Solarbration is over, now what Texas and Arkansas? With all the rain and no eclipse to look forward to, what in the world are we supposed to do with these glasses? This might be a little different, but we have a suggestion.

Arkansas and Texas Eclipse travelers, you better pay attention to this. When I first saw this story yesterday, April 1, I thought for sure it was some kind of April Fools Joke. Apparently, it is not a joke. The path of the April 8, 2024, eclipse has indeed shifted a bit, and gotten a little wider.

Russellville, Arkansas, home of Arkansas One Nuclear Power Plant, a great place to stock up for a trip to Petit Jean State Park, and from what I hear the Pickle Capitol of Arkansas. I'm sure there are plenty of good reasons to go to Russellville, but we just learned about a big one coming up, 300-plus couples are headed there on Monday, April 8, not just to watch the eclipse in a central totality

If you live in Texas or you're planning a trip to Texas to view the upcoming eclipse on April 8, have you decided where you're going to go? Have you thought about a Texas Park location? Did you know there are 31 State Parks in the path of totality? Plus the Texas Parks are gearing up for a pretty great watch party.

This Sunday night into Monday morning let's hope for some cloudless skies over the Ark-La-Tex so we can get a great view of the full "Super Flower Blood Moon" eclipse.

Remember the 1980s song "Total Eclipse of the Heart?" How about a total eclipse of the sun? Arkansas parts of Texas and Texarkana are in for a real historic solar treat in 2024.

Mark your calendar for Jan. 20-21, 2019 that's because most of us in Texarkana and the United States will be able to witness a total lunar eclipse. And the best news, it won't happen in the middle of the night, this eclipse will begin around 8:36PM (Central) and peak around 11:12PM, weather permitting of course.

Eclipse 2017, we were there. Being here in Texarkana, we lucked out on the weather what with all the rain we've had this month, thank goodness we had a pretty clear sky today for our rather rare celestial event.

If you happen to be out under the stars this weekend, you might want to look up and hope for clear skies, because starting Friday night, under a full moon, things are going to be happening.
