It's about that time again for the Kansas City Southern (KCS) Holiday Express. Unfortunately, Texarkana is not on the scheduled run this year, however, you won't have to travel very far to get a glimpse of this lighted train with Santa Claus on board.
The 17th annual Kansas City Southern (KCS) Holiday Express rolled into Ashdown, Ark., on Wednesday, Dec. 6, right on schedule near U.S. Highway 71. An enthusiastic crowd of children and families was already lined up when I arrived to visit Santa Claus who was on board the holiday train.

The City of Texarkana, Texas will partner with Kansas City Southern to host the 2016 KCS Holiday Express on Saturday, December 10th, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
October is just a few days away, so December will be here before you know it. The 16th annual Holiday Express of Kansas City Southern (KCS) will be rolling into Texarkana this year on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016. This lighted holiday magical train is expected to arrive in the KCS Rail yard from 4-9PM with Santa and his elves on board.
Well, it won't be the Polar Express from the movie, but it will be the next best thing. The 15th annual Holiday Express of Kansas City Southern (KCS) is scheduled for a stop in Ashdown, Ark., this Saturday, Dec. 5, at approximately 4PM on Main St. near U.S. Highway 71.
