Memorial weekend is coming up and you may want to keep in mind that the parking area of Yarborough Landing on Millwood Lake will be closed beginning today. The popular landing is about to be expanded and improved according to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

Boater Wayne Dixon of Morrilton, Arkansas, weighed a 19-pound, 10-ounce, limit of bass last Saturday to win the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Arkie Division event on Lake Millwood presented by GEARED. For his win, Dixon pocketed $5,866.

Get ready for the annual Big Bass Clash March 10-11, at Millwood Lake and then again June 16-17 at Lake Wright Patman. Yes, there will be two opportunities for you to fish this great tournament with over $75,000 in prize money guaranteed.

The Texarkana, Ark., City Board of Directors will meet this evening at Arkansas City Hall at 6PM.

The second annual Big Bass Fishing Tournament to benefit the Brooke Howard Memorial Scholarship fund is Saturday, May 16 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at at Millwood Lake -- Yarborough Landing. First place receives $1,000 and there are three places paid per hour. This event will be a lot of fun and help out a great cause.
