Randy Sams Outreach Shelter will continue their annual tradition of serving the area homeless and less fortunate a hearty meal on Thanksgiving Day from 11 AM to 1 PM at the shelter outside weather permitting, inside if rain. The first annual “Randy Sams Day” will be held at the Randy Sams Outreach Shelter administration building on Nov. 17, at 4 PM.

It's time once again for Randy Sams' Shelter to prepare for the annual Thanksgiving community meal. That meal is coming up on Thanksgiving Day from 11 AM to 1 PM.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) will visit the Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter in Texarkana on Sunday, Oct. 27, to kick off the organization’s holiday donation drive.

The City of Texarkana, Texas has been awarded $600,000 in homelessness assistance funding as part of a grant competition under the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program from the U.S. Department of Housing Urban Development.

The Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter announced Saturday it will be increasing its ability to provide services by expanding the physical size of its space via major renovations on its current campus or the acquisition and renovation of another facility.

The third annual Draw Down for a Hand Up is Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Elks Lodge at 4701 Garland Ave. at 7PM. This fundraiser for the Randy Sams' Outreach Shelter helps make it possible to serve the hundreds of people each year who are in need of shelter.

The Randy Sams' Outreach Center needs your help. Tonight at Buffalo Wild Wings (9/2) from 6-8PM, 10 percent of sales will be donated to Randy Sams Shelter.

Cigars, ‘Tinis, and Tunes, benefiting the Randy Sams' Outreach Shelter is scheduled for April 23 at Hopkins Icehouse at 7 p.m.  Entertainment for the annual event will be provided by 2 Pianos.

The second annual Draw Down for a Hand Up, benefitting the Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter, is scheduled for September 25, at 6p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 4701 Garland in Texarkana. David James of Albert’s Meat Company will cater and QuickSilver will provide entertainment for the event.

How would you like to help out the Randy Sam's Outreach Shelter? First United Methodist Church mission committee will be hosting a concert fundraiser starting at 3 p.m. June 22, in the Cabe Center located at 400 East 6th Street.
