Leadership Texarkana is requesting nominations from the community for the organization’s Wilbur Awards for exemplary community leadership.
What do the words “community service” mean to you? It meant everything to Wilbur A. Smith just as it does to all of the Rotarians who work so hard to serve their community to make it a better place for everyone. One hundred years of service to a community is a feat that not many groups can claim, but thankfully Texarkana has been fortunate to have the Wilbur Smith Rotary Club for that long.

The Rotary Club of Texarkana is asking the Texarkana community for help. The Rotary Splash Pad in Spring Lake Park was finished in Fall 2012, open May to October 2013, then added two Shade Ports and some picnic tables before it opened in May 2014 of this year. The Rotary Club would like to add two more Shade Ports and picnic tables for the general public to enjoy.
Spring Lake Park will be hosting the Arley Smith Memorial Criterium and a Free Kids Bicycle Race on Saturday, May 31 which prevent the Splash Pad from being open.
The Rotary Splash Pad at Spring Lake Park is gearing up for a summer of fun. With some added features the Splash Pad is open this weekend and officially opens for this summer beginning Memorial weekend.
