Scout-O-Rama

The annual family outing is back on Saturday, April 28 as Scouts from all over the four States area once again gather at Spring Lake Park to show off the best of Scouting with Scout-O-Rama 2018.

You've read about the best-laid plans of mice and men, that includes radio guys too apparently. We planned a nice little "Facebook Live" interview with Emily Eudy from the Girl Scout Diamonds this morning at 10:00 am, right when our show was over. If you were planning on watching it live, we're sorry, we tried.

It will be here before you know it, Scout-O-Rama 2018 is coming up Saturday, April 28 and that means lots of delicious chili will be there during the 3rd annual ICS Chili Cook-off as well.

Over 1000 Scouts, Troops, Crews, Packs, leaders, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, kids in scouts, kids not in scouts, all gathered this weekend to have some fun together at Scout-O-Rama, the largest public-invited Scout Show in the Four States area. Really, this was a big deal.

Having a place on the Scout-O-Rama Committee for 2017 and being the guy in charge of publicity and such, I had a brilliant idea; "Why not do some live Facebook broadcasting from there this year"? It worked out OK, mostly, I guess.

This Saturday the most fun you'll find in Texarkana will be Scout-O-Rama at Spring Lake Park. The Boy Scouts of America, Caddo Area Council and Girl Scouts Diamonds Council of Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas are inviting the whole family to join them for a day of Scouting fun Saturday from 10:30AM - 4PM.

Scout-O-Rama is this Saturday and the public is invited to join the festivities starting around 11 AM and going until 4 PM.
