This past weekend Kicker's Jim Weaver and I attended the 2017 St. Jude Radio Seminar that helps prepare Country Cares radio stations all across the country, and now even Canada, for our annual Radiothons.

My buddy Neil Jones is a huge supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Every year, Neil rounds up the troops (friends) and heads out on the open road for the Talimena Motorcycle Rally.  This year, the run is scheduled for May 21-24.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is an amazing place where miracle really do happen. Research and treatments developed at St. Jude have raised the survival rates of childhood cancers from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since opening its doors in 1962.

Dusty Rose Band lead singer Jason Springer visited the Kicker studio Thursday to speak with Mario and to unveil a song he wrote in honor of KKYR's St. Jude radiothon.

Chase Rice watched his dad go out of his way to bring smiles to the faces of kids in children's hospitals, and now he wants to do the same. The 'Ready Set Roll' singer talked to Taste of Country in support of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and in memory of his father, Daniel, who died of a heart attack while battling malignant melanoma.

The 2014 Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon is now underway now through today. Each year Kicker 102.5 sets aside two days to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Members of team Kohl's are volunteering their time today to answer phones and raise money for St. Jude.
