Texarkana restaurants

Valentine's Day is just a few days away and whether your single or married everyone could use a sweetheart of a deal. There are several national chain restaurants and a few local restaurants that are offering some sweet deals or discounts this Feb. 14.

I finally had the chance to check out one of the coolest places to grab breakfast or lunch in Texarkana. The Flying Crow, you know the restaurant that is a real train car downtown?

Is there a restaurant in Texarkana, Arkansas that you think deserves to be in the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame? The Department of Arkansas Heritage is accepting nominations through October 31, 2018.

St. Patrick's Day is this Friday, March 17. And while there may not be an abundance of Irish pubs in Texarkana there are at least four local restaurants/bars that will be celebrating the holiday with either green beer, specialty drinks or food.

Time has a way of changing things. If you grew up in Texarkana like I did then you will remember several restaurants that were a pillar of this community for years but are no longer here. Some places are just slabs concrete of what once was, and others are just shells of a building weathered by the elements of time.
