Veterans Day is on Monday, November 11, and Hospice of Texarkana setting the day aside to recognize and honor all Veterans in the community and for those who may be facing a serious illness.

As a patriotic American, I enjoy flying the flag high and proud at my house, but I have an issue, I leave for work so early in the morning half the time I forget to put it out on those special days. Today (Nov.11) is Veterans Day and to honor our military men and women what better way than with free food from participating restaurants across the country and Texarkana.

The Texarkana Area Veterans Council will be hosting its annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 13.
