The Texarkana Area Veterans' Council is proud to present the annual Veterans Day Parade in Dowtown Texartkana on Saturday, November 10 at East Broad and Hazel Street at 11AM.

The Texarkana Twins are excited to announce a new ticket offer benefiting the American Legion. For the Memorial Day game, on Monday, May 28th at 7:05 PM, every ticket purchased at http://bit.ly/TwinsMilitary, they will donate half of the cost back to the American Legion.

Veterans Day is November 11 and many of America's restaurant chains and other businesses are saying "thank you" for the endless sacrifice that many of our men and women in uniform have made and continue to make to keep our country safe and free by providing free or reduced cost meals.

When it comes to taking care of our veterans in our country some places are better than others.

This Saturday, November 11, is Veteran's Day and as usual, there will be a parade in downtown Texarkana starting at 11AM that we highly encourage everyone to attend. Right after it's over you might want to head out to New Boston and participate in the dedication of the new Veteran's Wall.
