I had to work for a bit on Saturday so I wasn't able to make it right when the gates opened but about an hour later I arrived at the Wagons for Veterans 2024 fundraising event at the Four States Fairgrounds. Happily, there was still plenty of that delicious open fire and steel pot/Dutch oven food left to fill me up. Man, was it ever good.

I've noticed that all of my favorite events seem to revolve around great food, this time is no different. Who's ready for some amazing outdoor cooking? Do I see hands up?

This may be one of the tastiest events you have ever attended, if you haven't been to one before, this is the month to come getcha some. Oh, and you better show up hungry.

It's back and bigger than last year, the 2nd annual "Wagons For Veterans Chuckwagon Cookout" is this Saturday, March 30 at the Four States Fairgrounds.

As far as I'm concerned we can't do enough to help our veterans and the Federal Government should do a lot more. But without getting too terribly mired in political rantings here's something we CAN do this weekend that helps veterans right here in our area. It's the first annual "Wagons For Veterans Chuckwagon Cookout".
