Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wine, has unveiled the winners of the 2023 Restaurant Awards, which honor the world’s best restaurants for wine.
This year’s Wine Spectator
awards program recognizes 3,505 dining destinations from all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 70 countries internationally. Three Arkansas restaurants made the list as winners for the world's best restaurants for wine.
These are as follows in no particular order.
Bordino's was founded in 1996 based on a passion for good food and wine. This restaurant is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas and its master chef prepares each traditional meal with local ingredients for superb tantalizing dishes that are not only authentic but reflect its Italian origin in a modern Ozark setting. Their wine list is a 15-time Wine Spectator Award of Excellence recipient and they also serve classic cocktails along with house-made recipes of cocktails.
This charming restaurant is located in historic Camden, Arkansas, and resides in the Old Camden Post Office that was built in the 1800s. In 1977, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and today it remains as the Postmasters Grill. The Postmasters Grill serves contemporary American Cuisine, steaks, fresh seafood, and a great selection of award-winning wine since 2014 in a fun relaxed comfy atmosphere. Dine in the Coal Room or out on the patio with live music during the warmer weather.
This locally-owned sophisticated Fayetteville restaurant resides in a historic building built in 1870 and established as the Cravens Building in 1925 and was inspired by contemporary architecture in Rome and the Village in New York. Owner Alan Dierks wants to assure its customers they will be served the finest cuts of meat and freshest seafood in Arkansas. Vetro 1925
also specializes in Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options as well. Their extensive wine collection has earned them a spot as a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence recipient since 2019.
Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards represent the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service. They are assigned on three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence, and the Grand Award, with 2,001; 1,411; and 93 winners this year in each respective category.
