The digital age has been here for a while, but can you imagine the next time someone asks to see your driver's license in Arkansas, you will be able to just show them your phone?

I love this idea. Anything to make life and lines go a little easier and faster. When I'm asked to show my driver's license I hate having to dig through my purse for my wallet. It seems my wallet is always way down at the bottom of my purse. I practically have to take everything out of my purse to get to my wallet. That pain will soon be no longer because there will be an app for that.

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration posted on their website, the App is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. It's a free App called Arkansas Digital ID and it is very secure. Once you've downloaded the App, you will be able to add your driver's license. Another great advantage to using the App is when you show your license it will not show your address. I've always felt really strange about that in particular. Who wants a stranger to know where you live? Not me!

They are working with the TSA to use it at airports soon too. But once you have that App and all your info in it, don't start thinking you can just leave your driver's license at home. Nope! Arkansas Law states you will still need to carry your driver's license card with you. And that's fine with me. It can stay in my wallet down at the very bottom of my purse all it wants!
