Troopers were in a full-fledged pursuit of a suspect driving eastbound on I-30. As the chase came close to the 36-mile marker, the suspect fired shots at the troopers, and the troopers fired back. But the suspect still wouldn't pull over to the side of the road..
The ASP stated in a press release,

Fortunately, none of the troopers involved in the incident were injured. The Arkansas State Police’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating this incident. When the investigation is done, a case file will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney.
