This weekend marks one of the all time classic movie remakes "Ghostbusters" featuring an all female cast as the ghostbusters trying to prove there is a supernatural world. I was only in my early 20s when I saw the original movie and remember playing the Ray Parker Jr. theme song "Ghostbusters" that turned into a mega hit and spawned the words "Who Ya Gonna Call."

Like so many reboots these days I was kind of surprised that they would even attempt to re-do such an iconic movie. I mean there some movies I think are untouchable and to me this is one of them but I understand producers wanting to appeal to an all new generation of fans. The movie hits theaters nationwide this weekend and so far depending on who you ask, the buzz hasn't been very good.  It will be very interesting to see how this effects the turnout at the box office for this movie. I can say this, some of the original cast members will make cameo appearances in this movie but not as their main characters as to not give away too much. The only original cast members that won't be in this movie is Rick Moranis who made the decision not to make an appearance and sadly we lost Harold Ramis back in 2014. However his daughter Violet tweeted her support of the remake saying her father would have wanted folks to embrace the movie. And of course an updated new version of the Ghostbusters theme from Ray Parker Jr. The only thing that I think would have been really cool is if the movie goers got slimmed.

Kristen Wiig and  Melissa McCarthy who both played in "Bridesmaids" are two of the ghostbusters with Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones from Saturday Night Live make up the rest of the team. Ghostbusters is rated PG-13. The remake of this movie is being dedicated to the memory of Harold Ramis.

Let's take you behind the scenes.
