Blake Shelton Bows in Tribute After Bellamy Brothers Perform Classic Hit [Watch]
As Blake Shelton continues to share the stage with the Bellamy Brothers as part of his Friends & Heroes Tour 2019, there have been many moments when the country legends’ shared talents have been showcased and recognized. But at their show on Feb. 15 in Kansas City, even Shelton seemed overwhelmed by the moment.
During a concert sing-along, the Bellamy Brothers sang an acoustic version of their 1979 song, “If I Said You Have a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me.” As Shelton and Trace Adkins strummed along, the country duo sang the song along with the crowd. And when it was through, Shelton stood up and bowed down to the country hitmakers.
“Night 2 in Kansas City, Mo,” the Bellamy Brothers wrote on Feb. 15 on their Facebook page alongside a video of the moment. “Thank you Blake Shelton. And thank you to all the fans for singing along and sending us these videos.”
Shelton hasn’t hidden his excitement about having the classic country duo out on the road with him.
“I’m really excited about my tour because it’s taking where I came from and the music I listened to growing up, and actually introducing it to a whole new audience,” Shelton said in a press release about the new tour. “I feel like a lot of people might know the Bellamy Brothers’ and John Anderson’s music, but maybe they’re not familiar with who they are as artists. I think that this is going to be a great opportunity for the country music fan base to be re-introduced to these guys and, selfishly, I’m just excited to share the stage with them!”
The next show up for these country superstars is Thursday (Feb. 21) in Indianapolis.
