Board of Directors to Take Up Pocket Basketball Park.

The Texarkana, Ark., City Board meets tonight beginning at 6:30 at City Hall.

One of the items on the agenda includes considering an ordinance accepting the donations of property located at 402 Park Street from the State of Arkansas to build the Texarkana, Ark., Police Department "Alpha Park," a pocket basketball park.

B.Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a consulting contract with CLB Engineers, Inc. for the Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) Grant Projects.

C.Adopt a Resolution confirming the City Manager’s nomination and appointment of Jeff Whitten as the Public Works Director.

8.Consider the following action concerning an amendment to the FY2016 Budget:

A.Conduct a Public Hearing to allow citizen input regarding amending the FY2016 Budget.

B.Adopt a Resolution amending the FY2016 Budget (Resolution No. 6340) and the Public Works Budget to include funding from Public Works 2015 Reserve Fund Balance.

9.Adopt an Ordinance accepting the donation of property located at 402 Park Street from the State of Arkansas to build the TAPD Alpha Park, a pocket basketball park. (TAPD-Randy McAdams)

11.Citizen Communication [Agenda Item Card and Citizens’ Communication Card]

A limit of five (5) minutes per subject is allotted for any person to express a written or oral viewpoint, grievance or other message to the Board of Directors, with a maximum of fifty (50) minutes allotted for citizen communications. No advance permission is required, but persons wishing to address the Board are requested to fill out a “blue” card listing the subject to be addressed and hand it to the City Clerk upon arrival. Citizen’s communications will be immediately following the Regular Agenda items on each agenda.
