America's Car Mart is reportedly closing 13 more locations nationwide, including 5 dealerships in Arkansas.

Closings Are Part of the Second Phase of the Company's Consolidation Plan

According to Talk Business.net, the Rogers-based national chain America's Car Mart says this is all part of the second phase of its consolidation plan and realignment. During its first phase in December of last year, after learning of its second-quarter earnings, five underperforming lots were shut down.

"By realigning our footprint, we can operate more efficiently while continuing to provide the high level of service our customers expect, said CEO Doug Campbell."

In the second phase, 13 more locations have been added to the list, including 5 in Arkansas. The Arkansas Car Mart locations are in Hope, Malvern, Springdale, Van Buren, and one of its two lots in Russellville.
