Danielle Bradbery takes fans on a journey of summer love with her new instant-gratification track, “Hello Summer,” a breezy pop-infused song tinged with heartbreak. The catchy tune paints a romantic but realistic picture of the ups and downs of love comes with an expiration date, and Bradbery’s sincere vocals capture both the loveliness and the melancholy of the experience.

Cowritten by Rhett Akins and Thomas Rhett, the song definitely has pop elements guiding it along, with synthesizers and electronic drums to match, but the organic nature of the storytelling and Bradbery’s vocal style keep the country roots intact. Bradbery’s sophomore album is set to release Dec. 1, titled I Don’t Believe We’ve Met. The Voice winner released her self-titled album in 2013 and has been honing her songwriting skills since then. She co-wrote seven of the 10 songs on the upcoming record.

“I am more than ready to re-introduce myself with music that is true to my story and my sound after diving into the writing process over the past four years,” Bradbery says in a release. “With I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, I got the opportunity to work with amazing writers and producers that brought out my unique style and allowed me to tap into so many different influences. This is the beginning of a new chapter for me, and I am so excited for everyone to hear what we’ve made.”

I Don’t Believe We’ve Met also includes a recent release called “Human Diary,” which Bradbery did not write but says she cried when she heard it.

“I was sitting there on the ground and I started bawling my eyes out because I’ve never heard a song that scared me,” Bradbery explains. “It was amazing. It was a feeling that I’ve never had singing somebody else’s song. I remember choking up just singing it.”

The record’s first single, "Sway," was released this summer.
