Dollar General to Build Warehouse Distribution Center in Arkansas
The Dollar General Corporation is looking to bring 300 jobs soon to Arkansas.
The Dollar General Corporation is looking at some property near the Amazon fulfillment center in North Little Rock, Arkansas. According toTHV11, the plan is to construct a $140 million dollar warehouse distribution center that would create at least 300 jobs before expanding its workforce upwards to 600 employees in 3-4 years.
Robert Birch, the Director of Development for the City of North Little Rock says, "These will be really great paying jobs with exceptional benefits and will get Arkansans back to work.
The warehouse will be situated on a plot of land around 152 acres that would house dry and cold storage products as Dollar General works toward expanding its fresh food options like produce, grocery items, and more frozen food. The Dollar General warehouse distribution center is expected to pay great wages starting at $18-$20 an hour with a great benefits package.
Construction of the building should begin within the next few months after final approval from the city.
