Forbes released their 2024 World's Richest Billionaires List and an Arkansas woman is now the "Richest Woman in the World."

Alice Walton, the daughter of the late co-founder Sam Walton now has a reported worth of $89.1 billion, beating out Francoise Bettencourt, heiress of the French company L'Oreal, according to the latest Forbes data
The Walmart heiress is now ranked as the 18th richest person in the world as of September 7, landing her three spots down from her brother Rob Walton, and four spots down from Jim Walton.
The billionaire continues to be a pillar of the community in Northwest Arkansas she was the chair for the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas which she founded in 2006 and opened to the public in 2011. Walton has donated more than $5 billion to charitable organizations in the area and has spent $377 million acquiring and loaning out American art to museums in the United States with her Art Bridges Foundation
Walton retired as chair of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in 2021 and is now set to open the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine in Bentonville with its first class scheduled in 2025. Her passion and focus have always been on educating the community about the arts, health, and healthy well-being.
It sounds like she shares her wealth to help others live a better way of life and that's always a good thing.
