Last-Minute Lotto Luck: Arkansas Man Nabs $1.338M Jackpot
Talk about luck! A Garland County resident has finally come forward to claim his jackpot winning of $1.338 million in the October 15 Arkansas Scholarship LOTTO drawing.
The winner was in Fort Smith working when he decided at the last minute at his favorite covience store to grab some beef jerky and a few draw game tickets. He was already scoping out the $625 million jackpot for Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing but another game got his attention.
According to a press release, the jackpot for LOTTO, an Arkansas-exclusive draw game, was over $1 million for that night’s drawing.
The luck winner asked the clerk was it too late to purchase a ticket to play. The clerk said he had time so he bought a Quick Pick ticket for Wednesday night's drawing and tickets for Mega Millions and Lucky for Life.

The next morning he woke up very early to see if he had won and sure enough the exclusive Arkansas Scholarship Lottey Club App said he was a winner. The winning ticket was sold at Casey’s #4638, located at 6600 Phoenix Ave. in Fort Smith. The winning numbers were 1, 5, 23, 30, 32 and 40, and the Bonus Number was 33.
Still unsure that he won he checked the numbers again and sure enough he realized he was a big time winner. He tried contacting his brother first but he was still asleep so he talked to his sister-in-law and she was a little skeptical but after he showed her the app's winner announcement she couldn't believe it.
