Is This Freedom of Speech or Not?
On January 6th, during a symbolic reading of the Constitution in the US House of Representatives, a woman in the gallery shouted "Except Obama" after the part where the Constitution says that the President must be a "natural born Citizen". That woman is now up on charges that she violated a congressional code against conduct intended to impede, disrupt or disturb sessions of Congress and faces potential fines of up to $500 and/or six months in jail.
Commentary: Memo to Congress: It's called freedom of speech.
What are your thoughts on this? Should this woman's free speech be protected in this case or not?
