U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than $10.1 million worth of methamphetamine at the World Trade Bridge in Texas. Cases like this are a reminder that large amounts of narcotics are trafficked through Texas every day, but law enforcement and border agents continue working to stop them.

How the $10.1 Million Meth Bust Happened

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the meth seized at the Texas border had an estimated street value of $10,112,000.

What CBP Found During the Secondary Inspection

The seizure happened Monday, June 15, 2026, at the World Trade Bridge. A CBP officer referred a 2013 D-13 Volvo hauling a shipment of polypropylene for secondary inspection. After a canine inspection and nonintrusive inspection system examination, CBP officers found a total of 1,100.79 pounds of suspected methamphetamine within the vehicle.

Homeland Security Investigations Now Looking Into the Case

Following a narcotics seizure this large, Homeland Security Investigations special agents are continuing the investigation.

Port Director Alberto Flores of the Laredo Port of Entry said, “This major interception reflects the steadfast dedication of CBP officers to protecting our communities from harmful drugs.”

At the end of the press release regarding the narcotics seizure, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said it is fulfilling President Donald J. Trump’s mandate, the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, under the leadership of DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, have delivered the most secure border in history, stopping dangerous criminal aliens, weapons, and illicit narcotics from entering our communities, which will keep America safe for generations to come.
