Judge Bobby Howell Declares Disaster in Bowie County + Sheriff’s Report

Bowie County Judge Bobby Howell has issued a Disaster Declaration for the county this morning (4/7/25), proclaiming that starting with the storms on April 4, 2025, the county suffered widespread severe damage, injury to property infrastructure, county roads, and rights-of way resulting from severe thunderstorms, high winds and heavy rainfall. Last week in Bowie County Sheriff Jeff Neal say a total of 80 people were arrested for various crimes around the county. Out of that total, Bowie County deputies brought in 30 and other law enforcement agencies turned over 50.
