Lady Antebellum Cancel South African Tour Dates Due to Hillary Scott’s Pregnancy
Lady Antebellum fans in South Africa will have to wait a little bit longer to see the country music trio live in concert. According to show organizer Big Concerts, the group have been forced to cancel their two tour dates in South Africa due to pregnant frontwoman Hillary Scott's health.
Scott is expecting twins next year, and Dave Haywood's wife, Kelli, is also pregnant.
"It has been advised that in the best interests of Lady A’s Hillary Scott's health and that of her twins, that the tour no longer go ahead in South Africa," a statement on the show organizer's website reads. Refunds are available.
Lady Antebellum Have One of the Year's Best Songs!
Lady Antebellum were set to perform in Cape Town on Oct. 13 and Johannesburg on Oct. 15. It would have marked their first time touring in South Africa as part of their 2017 You Look Good World Tour.
The band have also issued a statement and regrets having to pull out of the two tour dates:
“We are thrilled for Hillary and her precious twin girls, but want to share our deepest apologies to our fans. We have dreamed of performing in South Africa for years and can’t wait to make new plans to visit your beautiful country soon," they explain.
In September, Scott revealed that she was pregnant with twin girls. The babies are due in February and will join 4-year-old daughter Eisele. Scott is married to the band's drummer, Chris Tyrrell.
