Texas A&M University-Texarkana and the Bowie County Master Gardeners have teamed up to host a presentation titled “Tips for Identifying Trees” tonight Monday, June 10 from 6 PM to 8 PM. The event will be held at the University Center Room 326. This class is free and open to the public.

This class will be presented by Dr. Eric Taylor. Dr. Taylor is a silviculturist with the Texas A&M Forest Service in Overton, Texas.

According to a press release, silviculture is the practice of controlling the growth, composition, and quality of forests to meet the needs of timber production.

Dr. Taylor will talk about it and teach you tips so you can identify trees on your property or those you encounter in nature.
