It's the holiday season and that means blood donations typically are down all across the country. Why? Because some of the people that regularly donate blood are out of town and are busy planning their holiday getaways or getting ready to host their families. The need for blood is still great in the winter months and on Monday you can help.

There will be a blood drive at the Nash Elementry school at 100 Burton Street from 2:30 PM until 7 PM. The life share bus will be there for your donations. To qualify to give blood you need to be in general good health and between the ages 16 and 70. Those that are 16 will need to have their parent's permission.

According to the Lifeshare website.

One out of every three people will need a blood transfusion during their lifetime. Can you help provide it?
