Moonlight and Movies starts this Friday at the Ace of Clubs House in historic downtown

Texarkana and runs every Friday through the remainder of October at 420 Pine St.

Tickets are free for Texarkana Museum System members and $3 for non-members. All movies will be shown outdoors of the Ace of Clubs House.

Movies are as follows:

Oct. 12

A 1964 Stanley Kubrick film classic satire about the cold war and nuclear scare. It starred George C. Scott and Peter Sellers.

Oct. 19

One of the most beloved classics of all-time (1939) that made Judy Garland a Hollywood legend and household name.

Oct. 26

This 1978 musical has become a cult classic because it was take off of "The Wizard of Oz" and featured an all-star cast of mainly African Americans actors and musicians which included Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow and Diana Ross as Dorothy.

And two special showings on  Wednesday, Halloween Oct. 31, of the classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show has become an instant classic because of its cast which included Barry Bostwick, Susan Sarandon and Tim Curry.

Also during the month of October, if you've always wanted to tour the Ace of Clubs House and P.J. Ahem House after dark there will a walking tour presented by Southern Mourning Customs of the Victorian and Edwardian South. This tour will explore the temporary first-floor exhibits at both houses and look at the sites that are between both houses.

Oct. 20 7PM

Oct. 27 7PM (13 and older)

Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance by Oct. 16 and Oct. 21 dependiing on which tour to attend.
