Scott Akins is a high school junior who plays football at James Bowie High School in Simms Texas.

Scott suffered a severe head injury in a game in late September and has been in Chilrden's Hospital in Little Rock ever since. I had a chance to talk by phone with Scott's mom Emilia Akins about her son's condition and what is currently going on with his treatment. This is the entire interview.
