Arkansas State Police Arrest Texas Man After Shots Fired on Arkansas Interstate
Road rage is a scary thing and this past Saturday morning, April 26, the Arkansas State Police responded to a road rage incident that included gunfire on Interstate 40 in Lonoke County.
It all took place around 11:45 AM last Saturday when a driver reported he was driving in the westbound lane near the 175-mile marker when a black Cadillac sedan with Texas license plates pulled up next to him and allegedly fired a gun at the victim.
Although the victim was shaken, he was not struck by a bullet and was able to keep control of the vehicle and report the incident to police.
It took a couple of hours, but Arkansas State Police were able to spot the suspected driver around 1:45 PM on I-30 near Prescott. The troopers pulled the suspect over on a traffic stop near Hope and found two semi-automatic pistols sitting on the back floorboard in the vehicle. More troubling was the fact that police also found that a juvenile was inside the vehicle during the shooting.

The suspect was identified as 35-year-old Michael Evans of Houston, Texas. He was arrested and charged with Committing a Terroristic Act, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm from a Vehicle, Aggravated Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. Evans was being held at the Lonoke County Detention Center.
