The world of Twitter has learned one thing about Texarkana. And that one thing is everything.

Twitter is such an intriguing form of social media to me. It's an incredible way to share information with one another in an instant. It's absolutely brilliant for breaking news. It also gives us a one-on-one interaction with our favorite celebrities. Long gone are the days of sending in fan mail.

You can learn a lot on Twitter as you scroll through your feed. Many share with others the things they have learned with a simple catchphrase, "Today, I learned..." I decided to use this to find out what people have learned about Texarkana, the place we call home. You'll be (un)surprised to find that people have learned one important thing about Texarkana. . . .

It exists.

Yep. Our secret is out. Texarkana, once thought a mythological land of milk and honey, is becoming widely known as a real place comprised of multiple states. This is actually a good thing as we may see a boost in tourism. But maybe we could recruit some unicorns to keep up the magical facade.

I'm particularly fond of the comparison to Santa Claus.
