The Arkansas Department of Agriculture and the Farm Credit Associations of Arkansas is pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 Arkansas Grown School Garden Contest. Happy to announce that a Texarkana, Arkansas Elementary School was one of several winners across the state.

It gets hot in our area in the spring and summer especially when there's no shade. That's why there is this great program for schools in Arkansas where they can receive shade trees for playgrounds. The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for the 2020 Shade Trees on Playgrounds (STOP) program now through September 25th for schools needing additional shade on playgrounds.
