The Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign is back in Texarkana, with holiday cheer and crucial support to the community. The goal this year is $100,000 for local assistance, food, and shelter for those experiencing homelessness and more.

UPDATE: The names of the shooting victims and the suspect in Monday's murder/suicide in the 2500 block of Glendale have been released by the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.

Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports 72 new cases since Thursday, November 5, 2020 for a total of 2,225 positive COVID-19 cases, with 87 deaths. The Department of State Health Services is reporting 1,462 recoveries. There are currently 676 active cases in Bowie County. Cass County added 3 new cases and currently has 581 total, with 485 of those recovered, and 28 fatalities. Cass County

It's time for another edition of Felony Friday, courtesy of our friendly neighborhood Texarkana Texas Police department, this weeks felon is Jaquan Webster. Webster is wanted for two felonies, theft of a firearm and evading Arrest with a Previous Conviction.

Emma Reed and Morgan Seymore were honored with the selection to serve as volunteers for the Educational Development & Evaluation Team during the 2019 National FFA Convention. Only 20 students were chosen from across the United States to serve in this leadership role. As future agricultural educators, this service will provide them with countless learning opportunities.

Class I Recall108-2019 Health Risk: High Simmons Prepared Foods, Inc., a Gentry, Ark. establishment, is recalling approximately 2,071,397 pounds of poultry products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

Registration for spring classes at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana is open now through January 11, 2019. The college will hold extended hours registration on January 7 and 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Classes begin on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.
