Texarkana Weather

The winter storm has left area roadways slick from ice and snow. Some area schools will be starting late or are closing on Thursday, February 26.

As of Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., another winter storm warning has been issued for the Texarkana area. This time the National Weather Service says there is a good chance for accumulating snow.

With concerns about area roadways being icy early this morning, some area schools will be delaying the start of classes.

There are a number of schools around the area that are dismissing early due to the wintry weather occurring today.

The National Weather Service says winter precipitation will continue into tonight, with accumulations possible.

Here is an up to the minute school closure and delay list as of 5 a.m. Monday, February 23.

You can tell we are getting close to a change of season. The weather this weekend will have a little bit of everything.

Yet another round of below normal temperatures is headed our way.

Flooding downpours are expected over the area today and tomorrow.

The weather the next few days is not going to feel or seem like mid July, and that is good news!!!

The heat of the past few days should not be as prevalent today.
