Texarkana Restaurant Forced to Close Its Doors
I finally went to try out Hawkins Grill the other day and I was surprised they have closed their business. Hawkins opened for business in mid-September and has officially closed its doors at 3402 St. Michael Drive, just off I-30.
There was a sign on the door that read Hawkins Grill Closure.
"Due to diminished sales, we are forced to close the business"
Hawkins was located in the old Johnny Carinos/Larry's Pizza location. They offered a full-service restaurant that served up a variety of great food and drinks. The family-owned business offered burgers, seafood, fajitas and quesadillas, fresh-made salads, steaks, and chicken fried steaks.
The restaurant's name Hawkins was chosen because a part of the restaurant resides in the Pleasant Grove School District, so hawks came to mind when choosing the name. The building had been renovated with new paint and decor indoors.
It's a shame that Texarkana loses another business but these are tough times for running a business right now. Their Facebook page has already been taken down.
