Truck Overturns in Texarkana Causing Temporary Road Closure
The Texarkana Texas Police Department had to reroute traffic on Thursday afternoon (1-23) after a semi-truck carrying a load of metal pipe overturned at the intersection of St. Michael Drive, west of Richmond Road.

According to police, the load shifted as the driver was attempting to make the turnaround causing the truck and trailer to overturn spilling the metal pipes onto the side of the road. The driver sustained some non-threatening minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for further observation. No other injuries were reported at the scene.

The intersection was blocked for several hours on Thursday until the cleanup was completed, and the road was back open just before 5 o'clock, according to the Texarkana Texas Police Department.
