Why You Should Eat Breakfast [POLL]
A new study out of Harvard shows that skipping breakfast increases your chances for a heart attack and other health issues.According to forbes.com the study author Leah Cahill says:
fasting is a stressful state for the body, so prolonging the fast by not eating when you wake up amplifies the stress. “As we sleep all night we are fasting, and so if we regularly do not ‘break fast’ in the morning, it puts a strain on our bodies that over time can lead to insulin resistance, hypercholesterolemia and blood pressure problems, which can then lead to heart disease.”
So, if you don't eat breakfast maybe it's time you started! I'm not a breakfast kinda girl unless it's served for dinner, but load me up on some breakfast bars and I'm ready to go!
