4th Annual Cooper Tires Big Bass Tournament April 14

Get ready for the 4th Annual Cooper Tires Big Bass Tournament this Saturday, April 14, at Yarborough Landing at Millwood Lake.

This tournament was originally scheduled for Wright Patman Lake but due to the high water it has been moved to Millwood Lake. According to a press release, “Last year the tournament had 147 participants this year they’re hoping for 200+” said Mark Bledsoe, United Way of Greater Texarkana President. “This is an awesome event, that just keeps growing each year." “They just do a wonderful job putting this event together; it goes toward the general UWGT campaign, which benefits over 30+ programs regionally.

“This year’s Fourth Annual Cooper tires Big Bass Tourney is lined up to be the best yet." Greg Capps,  Tourney Director, United Way Board Member & Cooper Tire MRO Buyer says. There are $8,900 in total cash prizes, with additional prizes totaling $5,000 in raffle prize items. There will be a 5-6am Check-in, with fishing starting at 6AM. Final weigh-in 2PM. Entry fee $75 per person.

Food will be provided with a donation from the Fouke High School Fishing Team. There will also be a raffle and door prizes.
