Whenever you travel the great state of Arkansas you will find some interesting markers and roadside attractions. Some are cool and some are just bizarre, which makes you ponder the question on some of these attractions, "What were they thinking?

Located in the forested Ozark mountains, this statue of Jesus is seven stories high with a 15 foot face and stands high above the majestic mountain setting. This statue, built in 1966 is reminiscent of the statue in Rio De Janeiro with its outstretched arms looking over the countryside. The statue weighs two million pounds and can withstand winds of 500 mph. This is also the sight of the great Passion Play in Eureka Springs.

Now this is cool, the Guitar Walk is located in the town of Walnut Ridge at Cavenaugh Park where a 115-foot long by 40-foot wide guitar honors legendary musicians Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Sonny Burgess and Billy Lee Riley who played along the nearby Rock ‘N Roll Highway 67. The Beatles were eventually added to the park and every fall a festival known as Beatles at the Ridge takes place in celebration when The Beatles made an historic stop in Walnut Ridge to relax and change planes in 1964.

You guessed it, there is a town in Arkansas named Paris and it's only appropriate they would have a replica of the famed Eiffel Tower. No it's not that huge but instead a 25 ft water fountain that is painted with the same paint used on the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France and the fountain also has base lights that change color.

This rare piece of history can be seen in the town of Twist where visitors can be seen along the highway taking pictures in front of the sign that honors the late legendary blues musician. As a matter of fact, BB King named his guitar "Lucille' following a fire at a club near this sign.

Something we take for granted every day because we live here is the State Line Post Office and the Federal Building in downtown Texarkana, which has been a photographer's paradise for years. The Post Office is one of a kind because it is the only one that sits between two states -- Texas and Arkansas. It has become the second most photographed courthouse in the entire United States. Looks Like Texas country artist Kevin Fowler is all smiles.

Located off a beaten path near the town of Jasper, this work of art was done by a man who was a Harley guy but didn't like Japanese-made bikes so he strung them up on a tree. Over the years the name has sparked some controversy but people continue to look for the tree with the hanging motorcycles. A little bizarre but true.
