Today marks the 12th anniversary of 9/11. Twelve years ago on this very date in 2001, the most horrific tragedy in American history occurred. It changed our lives forever, the way we see the world and the way we are as Americans.

If there was ever a turning point in American history this one definitely was. I remember feeling sick to my stomach all day watching the events unfold on television that fateful day. I remember going home and hugging my family and saying a little prayer for the ones not so lucky. It was a very dark day in America on September 11, 2001 but like the Americans we are, we persevered, we're stronger, we're better and more united than ever before.

Like my dad always use to say you get knocked down you get right back up. America did just that! God Bless the USA!

So this is for the loved ones lost, the unsung heroes, the brave firefighters, police officers, medical personnel and members of our military who spent countless, tireless hours trying to save lives and salvage the ones lost in the rubble. Thank you for everything you've done and continue to do to make our country a better place.

This a great video showing the progress we are making on the new World Trade Center.

Here's one of my favorite tribute commercials.
