April 15th, 2012 marks the 100 year anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and a British travel company has teamed up with British Cruise Line to off Titanic enthusiasts the opportunity of a lifetime.

Miles Morgan Travel and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines are two separate cruises this spring, both leaving from different ports but meeting up at the Titanic site on April 14th.

The cruise ship Journey will depart from New York City on April 10th (100 years to the day that Titanic departed South Hampton, UK bound for New York), to the site where the Titanic sank on that fateful night in 1912. Along the way, the ship will make a stop in Halifax, Nova Scotia where many of Titanic's unclaimed victims are buried. While at sea, you'll learn all about life on board the Titanic and her complete story will be told. On Saturday, April 15th the ship will arrive at the site where the Titanic went down and at 2:20 AM (marking the time when Titanic sank into the Atlantic) there will be a special memorial service. The trip will last 8 nights.

On the other side of the pond, the Cruise Liner MS Balmoral will depart South Hampton on Sunday, April 8th for a 12 night cruise which will take passengers on Titanic's exact route stopping at her last port of call in Cobh, Ireland before meeting up with Journey for the memorial service on April 15th and on to New York City.

The MS Balmoral cruise from South Hampton is sold out, but there's still room aboard Journey which departs from New York City on April 10th. Boarding passes aren't cheap though. Prices start at $4900.00 for an interior stateroom and go up to $14,850 for an owners suite. For those that can afford it though, what a voyage this would be!

If you had the money, would you want to take this trip??
