Fans who can't wait for the season premiere of Nashville in January now have a little teaser to get them through the long winter months. Click play above to go behind the scenes with the cast as they get ready for Season 5.

After a brief venture into the unknown when ABC cancelled the show after Season 4, Nashville quickly found a new home with CMT, who will be premiering their first episode on Jan. 5. This fun look behind the scenes shows the actors happier than ever with their new home.

"It kind of feels, in some ways, like a new show," says Jonathan Jackson, who plays Avery Barkley on the show. Adding to his sentiment, Lennon Stella says that she welcomes the change with open arms. "Honestly, I think it feels better," says Stella, whose character Maddie Conrad is the eldest daughter of Rayna James.

Along with a new network, the cast and crew shared that the look and feel of the show is getting new life as well. That's thanks in large part to the freedom CMT is giving the show to focus even more on the music.

"The changes that we've made have kind of breathed new life into it," says creator and executive producer Callie Khouri in the video. "The scenes are going to last a little bit longer, we're not going to have quite so many characters."

But even though there won't be quite as many characters on the new season, all the fan favorites are sticking around, and CMT is even adding a few new faces to the mix. Connie Britton recently addressed rumors that she's leaving the show and in the past few weeks, new characters have been announced, including Hallie Jordan (played by Rhiannon Giddens), and Allyson Del Lago (played by Jen Richards), and Clay, a new male character who is still being cast.

Nashville will air live and stream online on CMT starting Jan. 5. The show will also stream on Hulu, which currently carries the show's previous seasons.
