Eagle Distributing was honored on Saturday (8/29) with the Ambassador of Excellence Award at Spring Lake Park. A rather large crowd came out to watch the presentation and get an up-close, personal view of these magnificent horses.Representatives from Anheuser Busch  of St. Louis presented Tim O'Neal, president of Eagle Distributing, with the award that was a replicated statuette of a Clydesdale horse. In addition to the trophy, O'Neal was given a red sport coat, symbolizing the success of the company. Before the ceremony, the crowd lined up to watch the Clydesdales make a grand entrance to the front of the stage where the presentation took place.

I asked Tim if there are any plans to bring back the horses at a later date and he responded, "If their schedule permits we hope to bring them back sometime next year. O'Neal went on to say that the support from the community was overwhelming.

"I knew we were expecting a big crowd but I would have never thought we would have the turn out and support we had over the course of these past few days."

Additionally, winners winners Jan and Darrell Gibson also rode the Budweiser Hitch wagon into the parking lot at Silver Star where I presented them with some extra goodies courtesy of Eagle Distributing.

Here is a video of a very happy couple talking about their experience.

Later that evening I had a chance to talk with the driver of the hitch wagon and handler  about the Clydesdales in this behind-the-scenes video.
