With successful shows like American Idol there's always room for more fan-based shows where America can cast their votes for their favorites.  NBC is getting ready to debut another music competition.

Blake Shelton has been announced as the fourth and final musician coach for NBC’s new competition, The Voice. Blake will join coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine on the new reality show The Voice which premieres Tuesday, April 26th at 9 PM Eastern on NBC.

The premise of the show, the coaches select singers to mentor into artists during the “blind auditions”. Once teams are formed, coaches bring in their personal songwriters, producers, and high-powered friends to help develop the team. Ultimately, America decides which singer is worthy to be named “The Voice” and receive a recording contract and 100-thousand dollars.
