Burger King Set to Roll Out New Burrito Option
I wonder if this burrito is charbroiled?
Usually when you see random food items available at Burger King, it's in Japan. I believe the Japanese are the ones behind different colored buns, like black, and burgers that feature a fish patty, chicken breast and maybe even some bacon.
They do things differently.
However, this could easily qualify as a foreign concept when it comes to Burger King... burritos. Last time I checked, this is not Burrito King. Rumors began swirling a few months ago in Pennsylvania that the fast food chain was testing a Whopper burrito.
Sounds like those tests went well.
According to Bloomberg.com, the "Whopperito" will go on sale nationwide on Monday, August 15 for $2.99. It will feature the classic Whopper ingredients chopped up and rolled into a tortilla. Oh, and instead of mayo, they use queso.
Almost sounds like a low-carb option.
There are three locations in Texarkana that may be worth the visit on Monday; 5025 North State Line Avenue, 2626 Richmond Road, 802 North State Line Avenue.
